ALSO AVAILABLE for PURCHASE - "Quest"

Quest is an eloquent union of storytelling, traditional music mixed with a fabulously diverse musical score ranging from tribal percussion sounds, upbeat R & B, to inspirational segments of chanting. This wonderful performing arts dance program is 48 minutes of emotionally charged dance movements narrated in the soothing and complex rhythms of the Indian dialect. Quest combines First Nation mythology and traditional/modern dance performances to translate the stories of Mother Earth and the rite of passage of the soul. This aboriginal dance piece is created from the Blackfoot stories of the "Sleeping People" told by the elders from the Blood Reserve. The story of Quest examines how modern life has led to the loss of rituals, a lack of respect for nature and spiritual emptiness. The dance piece tells of the Sleeping People (Society) and their conflict with Mother Earth and her Children (wind and water, plant people, rock people and the animals above and below). Their message is simply "Listen with your heart". The conflict comes from trying to control that which we must strive to understand.

This film was shot on location in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. The beauty of the land and the magnificent dance performances by these talented dancers create a wonderful and powerful program for all ages to watch.
